The title is mistranslated. It shouldn't be "A Bad Detective", it should be something like "A Detective with a Stern Face". Metsuki no warui (目つきの悪い) means "bad expression (in one's eyes/on one's face)".

@liquidsword I mean, the character ramifications are hard to ignore. The detective has to be blind to the damage her love interest inflicts on other peoples' lives through organized crime. However, that's contradicted by the necessary level of familiarity she would need to reach while investigating her love's organization.
