As annoying, frustrating, and downright manipulative as Aya can be, I cannot feel sorry for Suekichi in the climax of this chapter. He only has himself to blame for failing to be direct with her about his move and more importantly the nature of their relationship. Plus, he kept sleeping with her all the while.
