@Wexmajor Exactly. If the translation keeps the original spirit of the work, there's no problem in adapting it to not lose the joke. The problem is when you change something for no reason, and make it sound too off from the original content.

Translating an work is not as easy as people might think, since you have to adapt stuff to make it feel natural.
