Thats the whole point of my comment, the general trope of a "hero party" is that its a ragtag bunch of "talented" individuals that are meeting and teaming up for the first time.
im sure we've all had the "pleasure" of working in randomized groups and remember how "fun" it gets. now imagine each teammate has been hyped their whole lives as the Saint of this, the master of that, the hero of there.
The whole ceremonial hero party thing is a recipe for disaster, however many stories go along with the trope ignoring that 7/10 times highly talented people suck at working in groups.

they were sent by an alliance of countries, Dylan was his country's actual best guy, the other three sent second rate guys. They wanted it to fail so they could then send in a team of their top guys and take the credit for stopping the demon king alone.
I love this manga, I love dylan, i don't really like the shortstacks though... the giga boobs just aren't endearing to me sigh. I tried to like them though, I really did.
