Pretty sure it has its fair share of corruption. It at least does not seem like the most honest of religions. It almost seems to function closer to a PMC and uses a "religious organization" as a cover-up. For example, why would a religion need a tactical intelligence network superior to even the King's? They no doubt have their own benefits in mind and prioritize them over all other's. Also, she already played a big corruption indicating cards when she directly admitted to the king she was guilty knowing full well he could not do much about it.

Either the author is very good changing the style of speech from character to character, or the scanlation is great at translating and adequating the text, the bits with the king were great in what elaboration of ideas respect

Looks like this king has a good head on his shoulders, interesting to see that there seems to be an actual plot progressing in spite of the usual shenanigans we get when in dylan's adventures. Kind of tiring to see yet another corrupt church in yet another fantasy series though.

When the King told the priestess about bringing Dylan alive or, in case he died, a proof of his dismissal she took it as a chance to "kill him if alive and then claim he died when she arrived" she still thinks of herself to be a big shot in all this.

But the story is getting interesting..

I don't think the Nun will kill the MC because she wants to know what he apparently "knows."
I haven't read the LN or anything but I can only assume that king was the one that nominated the MC for the hero group, so that bitch-mage probably has no idea he is as rich as a nobleman, most like richer.
Would like to see some sort of redemption from the blade-douche, I mean he did man up a little to apologize to the MC.
Like he said, once he hit rock bottom, he can only go up now.

Can't wait to read what happens next.

Someone said it in an earlier chapter but I doubt these 2 actually hold any power, they're just puppets who believe they hold the strings of the entire show.

It was clear that each of the members were mediocre or just straight up bad fighters bar Dylan, who was the only level 99. It can be said that each nation of the alliance preferred to keep their trump card with them and not fully invest into the fight against the demons, if anything, send their worst to sabotage the nation who sends their best unit in. This would grant them an advantage over nations who invest too much into the campaign. In the end, its about their own short-sightedness to not realize the danger of the demons.

Priest girl is led to believe she's as smart as she thinks and as powerful since she's having the "support" of her country, yet they are just using her as an expandable pawn.
Mage girl was promised a position of royalty which was apparently enough to make her believe she's someone important and stronger than she thinks.

If anything, the holy country is as curious as her, and as soon as they know what Dylan supposedly knows, they will dispose of her or cut ties immediately.
