Assassin's Pride - Vol. 7 Ch. 35 - Family

Dude got the rinnegan too. Assassin vampire with eye powers, original character do not steal.

Wow, the Completely Unsuspicious Individual is even a shipper, what an upstanding guy.

@OsoJr We've seen him "transform" before, revealing his vampire powers. Probably not something to do in front of all of these people specifically being trained to kill anything like that, so it's probably safe to assume he can't use his full power at times like this if he has to do something so obviously inhuman to use all of it. He's still a "powerful human" at the moment, but so are lots of other cast members. Such as this masked dude sent by that little cabal of people we saw a chapter or two ago. They weren't ever going to send someone weak for that. Just get caught, get interrogated, the end.

lmao wtf. Talk about having development at any cost kind of approach.

Everyone is so into the possibility, any random person that's of obviously dubious origin can claim to be her father and they latch onto it like it's the gospel truth?

Their status as master and servants were already elevated to boyfriend-girfriend.
Im sure Melida was happy deep inside her heart, but it doesnt shown on her expression in that terrifying moment.
She didnt even retort, although understandable on this scene...

But if this played on, the boyfriend-girlfriend, im sure Elise would be pressured, and or Roseti sensei, and will look to MC...

If Melida truly dont have any Angel blood then the fault lies in Angel family, meaning this attack directed to Angel family not Melida herself.

@Nunally
I said this in another chapter, but this entire plot is rooted in maintaining a political image of a family. And an afair accusation where there isn't any proof whatsoever. That is it.

And that if any of these actions ever were made public knowledge, then the Angel Family's reputation would be destroyed irreparably. Sending assassins, causing immense property damage, directly interfeering with the lives of students who are not their own, killing school staff, etc... all for an in-house issue.

Remember that they are the ones meant to be the greatest family that protects the people? They sure don't as they are time and time again causing needless death and distruction all to keep something that no one outside of the family even knows a secret. And that secret may not even be real.

Either way her "father" clearly doesnt want her even if she turns out to be his actual daughter. So if it wasn't clearly a threat to he life, I actually would like her to jump on this opportunity to smear shit on the Angel family with the exception for her cousin. Just only if this new guy was a decent person who didn't just kill a bunch of people, than this could have been an amazing chance.

Side with the assassins, and secretly disclose the Angel family's involvment, placing the blame for everything on their family, which not only make her look like the victim of massive amounts of needless abuse, but then ties the Angel family hands because if they admit to it, they are done, but if they deny it, then that means she has to be their daughter, which means there was no reason to do any of what they did, and she will have to become a member of their family whether they like it or not.

@JavelinJoe I hope so but I think Angel family will not make it easy for her too, I think the Angel family will make her a villain/sacrifice and she will be isolated by enemies in almost all direction (minus all the people that trust & personally known her). This arc will be epic and I hope explained more about the world that they life on.

If a random a-hole making public announcements without proof is all it takes to mess up the entire world order, what was the point of the entire manga so far ? The revolutionaries could have done this years ago... It's not like they needed to gather proofs or anything...

I'm kinda upset with the MC, those reporters would have been a perfect opportunity for him... When in a struggle like that, staying passive is the worst kind of option, you should be active and take the initiative so they can't keep up...

Just use the journalists to make a point that she's the genuine goods (even if she might not be) :

- "This is an attempt to weaken the Duke's family and humanity, they already attempted to kill her 2~3x since she awakened her powers, even with [demons] at times. They're trying to make sure to extinguish the duke's " main bloodline and weaken all of us."

- "She did beat Elise some times ago, while only having awakened her power recently, are you trying to say that her class should be equal or stronger than paladin if she isn't one, then ? That's nonsense, why would her mother have cheated with someone from another duke's household or from the royal family ?"

Just say things that can be difficult to disprove and that'll convince the masses...

I really like the main characters in this, you can really feel their wants, dreams, and fears. They have personalities.

The baddies on the other hand have been mostly overconfident mustache-twirlers, who gloat and taunt while showing off how effortlessly superior they are right up until the point where the plot demands they lose. This new guy seems no different.
