Azfareo no Sobayounin

Interesting this one, and cute too, tho, I'm not much of a shoujo reader, and I hate most of the works under this genre due to some uncomfortable "shoujo personalities", which I know it's the main part of the genre anyway.

As for rating, I don't rate mangas till they are completed, some had good plot and good characters going to reach a crappy ending that ruined everything.

I will follow for now.

I'm glad someone picked this up. It's been so long since I first read the raws, I was beginning to consider translating it myself.

Judging from the first chapter it seems to be very similar to
Niehime to Kemono no Ou

The pacing seems a bit weird: the first chapter rushed through character introduction and background, establish the dragon-king pretense, build, develop, and resolve the conflicts, all within the same amount of panels used to have a festival and some fluffyness story. Other than that, seems nice.

It's like there's a slight disconnect between the writing and visuals, as well as a pacing problem that makes reading this a bit hard.

Wait, now that I go back to this story, I'm in doubt: if all kings are cursed to turn into dragons in exchange for the dragon's power, how come the royal line can continue? I suppose it will be something like "true love can turn the kings back into humans", but shouldn't Julius be aware of it already?

@Hoanghoiham

The first chapter was likely a one-shot. For manga, they usually make a one-shot to see interest and only continue it if there's enough people interested. Most rewrite the first chapter when they get serialized if there's nothing major changed, but some keep the one-shot as first chapter because there's nothing they want to change

@GreenDragon you're right. It was a oneshot, but it got serialised afterwards. I'd honestly think it's effort wasted to rewrite the first chap, though.

Anyway, we're not asking or begging for anyone to make it hard for themselves to read this. Being able to read and scanlate it is already a joy for our group. That's what really matters :)

YES YEEEEEEEEEEEES YEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEES THANK YOU THANK YOU THANK YOU THANK YOU FOR SCANALATING THIS MANGA

I have been waiting ages for someone/group to translate it!!! Thank you! Please keep up the good work and thank you!!

@Misticsan:

Based on things said around the end of Ch. 1, it sounded to me like there are rules about what you aren't allowed to say about the curse—with pretty serious consequences if they're broken (i.e. losing the entirety of the divine protection arrangement).

So it's possible that it's the obvious true-love gimmick, as you say, but that his parents couldn't tell him anything about it. (Simply because whatever dragon was laying out the rules in the first place was feeling cagey...? Maybe dragons love love dramas.)
