@Stissa considering this is a historical manga and the tokugawa dynasty stood for more than 200 years, that's unlikely.

@simonmoreal I know its unlikely but this manga has played with historical events and figures already. Date Masamune, for instance, lived for a while longer after Azumi killed him. They were able to explain that away with the fact that he had a body double so the high priest wouldn't destroy his clan.

I doubt Azumi will outright switch sides. But there's been hints that there's stuff happening she disagrees with for a long time, so she might go off do her own thing anyway (esp. once Tenkai dies).

Also, that net Azumi puts in the rooms is a kaya, a mosquito net, and its function is that of, goodness, keeping away the ferocious japanese mosquitos from biting you.
