Bakemonogatari - Vol. 9 Ch. 72

Poor Guillotine Cutter centipede thingys got wrecked, they got back to papa ashamed.

Araragi literally bulldozed them without even noticing, is there any explanation for why that he already has so much power during the series? My theory ( that can very well already be wrong ) is that as he offered his life willingly it gave him such enormous potential... or is just shonen MC bullshit, anyway I am liking it... does Episode get his arm back?

Oh Great-sensei is back on top of his game, I am so happy.

You guys or guy or gal doing this series in such rhythm are true legends, I am a little ashamed for only noticing now how quick your uploads having, really grateful for you picking this up.

Yeah, thanks for the swift yet seemingly correct translations of the series.

@alacaelum As far as I know the power of a servant is proportional to the master’s power. Shinobu is one of the strongest oddity/vampire iirc.

My question with this reinterpretation is how did they corner Kiss-Shot in the first place, if Araragi is so powerful even without realizing himself?

As usual, our friendly neighboorhood Hawaiian Shirt Oshino Meme, this time might be more active.

Also it is heavily hinted that Kiss-Shot let herself be defeated as she wanted to die (that's the whole reason why she got back to Japan in the first place) but she panicked and realized she still wanted to live.

@tblst
Kiss-Shot is actually the strongest vampire in history. And these vampire hunter are pushover for KissShot. Kiss-Shot return to Japan because she's looking a place to die. To die in hometown of her former servant, partner, or lover. That's why she's didn't fight back. This is also the same reason why she spare Araragi rather than suck him dry. Because she wants Araragi to kill her later...

what the hell is araragi's power level if he can just clown his way past two vampire slayers that were sent specifically to kill acerola? also, i like the uploader of this chapter's name

@allenjke This is adapting the Kizumonogatari book/movie. This encounter with Episode and GC does go differently in those versions.

It's been a long time but I'm pretty sure this was not how Koyomi's first encounter with the hunters went in the novel,
Oshino intervened before Koyomi was attacked
. Though the manga has been making lots of little changes like this.

@tblst:
Aside from her wanting to die, the other factor people have not explicitly mentioned is that she was weakened by Oshino, who literally removed her heart without her noticing. Oshino is one of the strongest/scariest characters in the series.

He’s powerful because the twilight books are at the height of their popularity duh
