I'm surprised that this wasn't a jobber match. It is turning out to be pretty good which I'm glad. I know its a manga, but I don't see a glass eye breaking inside an eye socket unless it is due to thermal shock or say a bullet. I wonder if its going to be 2 or 3 more chapters for this figth

Yeah I agree, I like Baki as a manga and there was a lot of power to this chapter, but literally only 2 moves were actually shown in this chapter. It took 14 something pages to describe the sumo slap and for Shibukawa to come back, and the 2nd move, Shibukawa’s attack on the eyes, was only shown for the cliffhanger moment.

There’s so little progress with each chapter that I’m honestly thinking that by the time this whole pandemic is over, not even the second fight will be finished.

I hope this doesn't become some kind of bullshit where Kyogei's eyes are strong enough to break Shibukawa's fingers or something... I hope the eye poke shows him and the other rikishi that these fights are real as fuck, and not just a sharing of techniques and power

Man I'm glad everything worked out like this. I hoped for shibukawa to survied this slap and is going on with the fight.
Somebody here already said it. Those sumotori really are getting innitiated.

But in the end i think that shibukawa sensei will still lose...? :-(

It's nice to see an angry Shibukawa, well-deserved too considering despite all things, he never actually have a proper highlight. Even during the Death row prisoner arcs, his supposed rival was beat by Baki and Yuujiro instead.

About the chapters flow... yeah, I guess it's gotta be really annoying to read this one at a time. Unless there's already tons of chapters already prepared, reading this would be very frustrating.
