Baki Dou (2018) - Vol. 2 Ch. 14 - The Triangle's Proficiency

Well, he talked himself into that fist to the face. Who couldn't see that one coming?

Thanks for the upload! What's that last line Oliva says? Is it supposed to say "what's the matter" but like in English slang?

@Bacon730
A matta is a false start in sumo, when that happens the referee will restart the match. There is no start signal given, but the wrestlers go through this ritual of signalling to indicate to each other that they are ready and about to start. One common reason for a false start is when a wrestler doesn't touch the ground with both his hands before charging.

reddog: thank you for the explanation, If the scanlator had a little bit of imagination, he would have written: "Oh, did I start too fast?" or "Oh, sorry, I guess I broke the timing rules" or "Oh, I guess you weren't ready for that, my foul" But no, he's trying to teach you japanese...

" Ohh, I'm too Onaka ga sukimashita, so I guess i'm gonna Okawari with my ore no's tomos yo's until i'm Onaka ga ippai!!"

instead of....

"Man, I'm starving, I'm gonna call my pals and eat until I'm full"

aaaaawwwwriiight... dudes...I guess I gonna have to do the next one to put my money where my mouth is...

@IchidoReichan Imagine being this petty that people prefer actual translations instead of your hackjob trash consisting of machine translations and literal made up nonsense.

@IchidoReichan
This works just fine, whether you like it or not, he's using a sumo term. It's like complaining that karate matches are saying "ippon" rather then "one full point". They can be seen as terms in both cases. But I get what you mean with the whole "according to keikaku"- shit. But yeah, you are wrong in this case.
