A matta is a false start in sumo, when that happens the referee will restart the match. This works just fine, whether you like it or not, he's using a sumo term. It's like complaining that karate matches are saying "ippon" rather then "one full point". They can be seen as terms in both cases. But I get what you mean with the whole "according to keikaku"- shit. But yeah, you are wrong in this case.
