Bandai Kaname wa Asobitai

Great manga for Baby Boomers. Isn't it time you stop reading comic books and get a job? Society needs wageslaves and my welfare won't pay for itself ya know.

The mangaka really fucked up by adding the generic childhood friend who will never win so soon, now there's zero development between Taiyou and Kaname. Even worse, she appears now in every fucking chapter, didn't she already have a club or something, the track and field club, or I'm remembering wrong?

@Mystax

If i were you, i would not be so sure about that. Especially if you look at both of their names, it will probably be a hint.

And she is not generic, she's just like Shinozaki from his/her previous work, daydreaming all day.

Really feels like the whole manga dynamic changed once the childhood friend was introduced, and I don't think it was for the better. MC and FMC were a good standalone boke-tsukkomi duo, and it feels like the friend doesn't adds much to it. If she would only appear once in a while that would been preferable, instead of being a continuous third wheel. And we also stopped receiving a random funny ecchi scene at the end of each chapter once she appeared, so I'd say my overall enjoyment dropped.

You know, relationships/dynamics aren't interesting when they're this one sided. One person is too perfect (or the author doesn't want said person to seem less than perfect) to lose which makes that character unrelatable/uninteresting and the other is too pathetic to sympathize with. It gets dull real quick.

Also the childhood friend we know will lose the guy to the main girl is a pointless addition only use for filler.

@KazumaLee94 Well... Yeah? The MC is your average friendless guy with no personality and no redeeming qualities other than being good at school; the childhood friend likes the MC for no apparent reason and behaves like she's 5; the love interest is your average big tittied blonde girl who's perfect at everything she does, but is clueless about what the MC considers common knowledge and also likes the MC for no apparent reason.

That premise was used over and over and over and over...

Erf, i really hope it will not turn into harem or be your classic story of a only guy surrounded by xx girls.

Shinozaki-san is much better than this manga for now.

Edit : Yeah, guess i gonna drop this and wait the end. I don't find this fun or interesting, and each chapter looks like the other.

So are people expecting Tomi to win since the companies is Takara Tomy? I hope not cuz i really want Bandai to win... :/

They have same score but Takara get 1st place because his surname come first in japanese alphabet order.
:D

@OnlyReadsRomance why the childhood friend? i personally find it interesting that she's there from the start, but mc does not focus on her and she's not the main heroine. doesn't provide any considerable depth to the plot, but it's something else not done that often imo

regarding the sleepyhead i agree. pure fanservice lol (and maybe some forced drama later if the author's out of ideas).
