...From the way the facial expressions sit on the faces, I'm convinced that the artist draws them in after the lines are finalized and everything instead of during the sketching phase, or maybe pastes them in using software. The angles are just slightly off from where they should be.

It's incredibly distracting; I'm kind of amazed the manga got to publication in this condition.

Well considering the title itself, i can't help to feel this is probably inspired by the hound of the baskerville's, which is also a crime drama story involving a supernatural creature (the titular hound).

Well that is how the "hound of the baskerville's" original story went. A close relative hiding his relationship took out the family to get the family's stuff.

So maybe? This would be a neat twist. If it's really the pop of the girl that did it, would he kill her too?
