BE BLUES ~Ao ni Nare~ - Vol. 40 Ch. 395 - New Task

Whoever called up sakuraba and yuki's ship the other day, this is your chapter

What the fuck kind of fever does he have???
In every manga i read, Fevers are like near death like states all the time.

Also NOOO
Sakuraba get your hands off the Childhood friend.

@Ghostdevil : Yep, ever fever in manga is either paralyzing or coma-inducing.

By the way I'm all for Sakuraba-Yuuki ship building but this situation is so forced and unnatural (actually, all the romance in this manga is unnatural)

@Meo
I mean the MC has okay chemistry with the translator girl.
But yea, Sakuraba romance would be super out of place, hes kind of a dick. Hes lovable as a reader, but as a character in story ...

@Ghostdevil : I don't really care about the MC or translator girl (she's like my least fav girl)...but Ryuu is running full speed towards his goal, and translator girl is running full speed away from the family business. They seem to be polar opposites.

@Ghostdevil hit the nail on the head there. Sakuraba makes things entertaining for the audience but would be a terrible partner or friend at that.

@Meo It might be more apt to say that Ryuu is going full speed towards his dream where as Aiko is simply trying to avoid being something she doesn't have a passion for. Don't forget she got involved in all this because of her passion for English. In essence they are both pursuing their own interests, Ryuu just has goals to work towards.

I actually like the sakuraba and yuki ship😭 I was waiting for this moment from the beginning. Sure sakuraba’s personality with the respect me isn’t the best, but he can be cute too and apologize for his wrongs. I don’t find the situation forced at all. I would be happy if they even got together. And yes I know this ain’t a romance but it doesn’t mean I can’t have my fantasies and ship them.

Sorry this got really long, I just kept writing more and more as I got this off my chest.

I'm not a fan of a Yuki Sakuraba ship, it feels like the author simply felt like the leftover characters who weren't romantically set should just suddenly be together even though they've already had poor history. Speaking as someone who's binged all 415 chapters translated so far in 3 days, Yuki's quiet withdrawal from the Ichijou romance contention felt very disconnected from the buildup in the earlier chapters. While I had a marginal preference for Etou, Yuki being sidelined from any progress and now getting potentially tacked on as an extra relationship is a great disservice to the character. All the groundwork was laid out for Yuki to address her long held affection for Ichijou and her concerns that he could only think of her as someone like a sibling because of their history, and this entire subplot that had been in the works since chapter 1 was dropped because Etou had a slightly higher appeal in personality and appearance. I thought there was potential with the ambiguity of two prominent characters coming to terms with their affection for the MC, especially as a B plot, but apparently the author or editor thought differently.

Also to tack on as others have said, Sakuraba is a great character for the story, but he's terrible as a person. Definitely not a romantic potential.
