Time for my usual Chapter review
Wow that a surprise, actually having a main characters as BC chapter, but more on this later.
Ah couple problem of not knowing what to eat.
LUZ Haru, remember Legoshi want to hug you and do stuff you as much as he can, but he worried about actually doing it due to body differences.
If people read the live translation, you see why you should wait for the mangadex version. Coming of Age Day is a Japanese Holiday, second Monday of January. This is a major culture difference, as without this foreknowledge, one would assume coming of age is simply 20th birthday, when it is not. Considering ch 196 ends with them saying dating and pg 03 says a year later… it connects as a year later
I wonder, is the coming of age thing, is that a family thing? Or include friends or other species? Cause why can’t legoshi her boyfriend join in that he has to ask for a picture.
Note on Haru’s clothes, there is a rabbit making mochi on the moon, which represents haru in beastars.
Nice connection to Beastars with flashback to Vol 1. Though, that Scar was never mentioned since the garden scene, so it was assumed to healed away. So feels off that there is a scar. Especially when there the tvtrope beauty is untarnished.
I wonder who the 5 other invitations that Louis got? Shishigumi? The usage of Senpai is strange here. Ch 158: Both san and senpai. Ch: 165: no more senpai. But Senpai here?
Legoshi has a big point. It less about the wound itself or the superstition, but making amend, and bonding between species.
It funny the Lion is saying he is cleansed with all his heart when he is not even looking at it…
I guess this is close as we can get to a wedding chapter.
The Scar is a sign of Legoshi, who saved her from becoming lion poop.

Overall comment: I feel like this chapter is meant to be taken as a one-shot in non spoiler way. Even though it is after Beastars, it is done in a far-off future that is non-spoiler to anime only. there is a reason it is called the Wolf and the Rabbit it just shows the relationship between 2 animals, or in this case, amends post injuries.

Nice chapter of Beast Complex! I felt like it was a little rushed though? Like, how did a rabbit and a wolf become a pair?? And what's with all those scars???

literally the entire series Beastars comes before it. it takes place after the end of the final chapter. it even refers to vol.1 of beastars.
it's an excellent read, i recommend it, altho the second arc isn't as good as the first imo.
