BEASTARS

@Nisrock: For part of the artwork involving carnivores eating and the mystery of Tem's murder arc, no doubt. It's by no means a horror manga, but that doesn't mean it's not without some scary parts.

The beginning was unbearably slow for me.

But jumping in around chapter 100 is very nice. Probably worth going to the earlier chapters, but not yet.

I wrote a blog post comparing and contrasting character philosophies between Mob Psycho 100, Beastars, and 3 Gatsu no Lion!

it's getting an anime

I swear, the dynamic between Louis and Legosi is so similar to Yafya and Gosha. Wouldn't suprise me if Yafya also notices this comparison later.
For those who forgot, Yafya is the current Beastar, the horse, and Gosha is Legosi's komodo dragon grandpa.

I hope the anime does well. The art style is so unique, I have my doubts if the anime artists can measure up to it. I read this and I feel like this needs Studio Ghibli level of anime mastery.

There's a pv out already. Made by the same studio that made Land of the Lustrous. https://www.animenewsnetwork.com/news/2019-02-06/beastars-anime-1st-promo-video-streamed/.143066
Hype is real

Read 117 chapters in two nights. I really wanted to savor this one, but it's too good.

Who would thought that high school life of anthropomorphic animals would be this good and interesting as a manga. Damn I need more.

@Nixl:
I don't think so. More likely he'll get dentures or a set grafted to his gums. Canines can't regrow teeth and it's pretty unlikely the teeth he ripped out was his puppy fangs. Not impossible, but given his age, unlikely.

On the other hand, if my memory serves monitor lizards like Gosha DO, in fact, regrow teeth, so there's that.
