I think the child is some sort of an astral projection of Casca and Guts child, the babbe who was vored by the l'egg and became re-Griffith. I think this child is their child, who perhaps... Like, maybe emerges or takes over from Griffith's body on certain nights? And does what he can to help his parents. Or saves them during a time of need maybe.

I wonder if he'll play in with the armor? The kid seems to be climbing on it and worrying at the helm... Hmm.
