Berserk

Err... How to be a skull knight? Because I want to be one to be able to keep reading it hundreds years from now until the story reach its end by then.

THIS IS UNRELATED TO THE MANGA

I was working on the first draft of my first novel and when I let a friend read it, he said that one of the mcs in the novel has a very similar personality to the mc here and it might seem from another perspective that I based my mc on this story's mc (even the big sword and the black get-up
in the later chapters not the earlier ones
) as well as a part of the novel resembles very much the general concepts of the story here with some differences. So, he suggested I read the manga to get some inspirations if I have not already.

Guys, do you think it will be considered as a rip-off, plagiarism if I continue my work?

p.s. the manga is a very exceptional one and I reached chapter 287 very quickly and what he said was true from the inspirations to the mc of my story resembling the mc of this story.

@fnwsmas do you know how many guts copycats there are? Copying or creating someone similar doesn’t matter, just do a good job of it.
Unless the entire plot and backstory is the same, then yeah, that’s plagiarism.

Thanks buddy, I finished reading the translated chapters and it turns out there is a clear and distinctive difference between the two stories. it is just that my novel is gonna be a long one so one-third of it is an extremely dark one
