@Pyoro I think you missed the point. This whole chapter is basically saying that even if the outcome of original events from novel has changed, Melissa can’t stop future events from occurring. Yuri is not a damsel in distress, but “fate” can’t be avoided and Yuri will have to be kidnapped like in the original story.

Sure, the rich one is a dangerous psycopath, but it doesn't change the fact that he's a love interest and thus, one of the 5 main characters.
Well ... Unless you count Melissa as the villainess yeah, but she's mostly a threat to the love course itself. The book wouldn't be interesting if she was the only bad thing. And Yuri would need to be put in danger at least several times so that each love interests could save her, right ?
