God, that was weird as hell! But I don't agree with this thing of "cold father is a tsundere"; is his obligation as a father to dote on all his children and treat them all the same.
@stephibrito don't think he's a tsundere though. This "party" is criminally girly, something made up by someone with only the barebones of girly stereotypes. If he was actually a tsundere it would be properly tailored to Melissa's likes, not generically "young girl". Melissa has sent 47 letters and gone to the castle several times demanding the engagement be broken off. It's a political engagement by the way, the only way a noble daughter can be useful to the family in the eyes of an extreme sexist in this setting, which the father supposedly is. Pretty sure he's trying to appease her enough to "let it slide", because yeah, dissolving them engagement would be bad politics for him and with her reputation as it is the public opinion would be that she finally went too far and got the boot making her basically unmarriageable.
@Keimichi if he really was misunderstood, he would have tried something like this much, much sooner.
Lol, I'm calling it. The dad's just like the grandpa in The Disastrous Life of Saiki Kusuo XD It's really too bad he's got such a scary expression on his face hahaha
How long will it take her to realize I wonder?
Also, it kills me how she thanks Kant for helping her hold back Kant's my favorite philosopher too! Though I'm not quite sure that his moral teachings are helpful in the way she's been using them
I really do hope that the dad is just a misunderstood-loving-dad instead of him just trying to get on her good side so that she doesn't break off her engagement.
The chapters are way too short!
Having a stern face is a bummer, I tell you. People will assume what you're thinking and what your personality is just by assessing you thru your expressions. I admit I can't express well, even my voice sounded flat sometimes (they say this sadly), and people will assume I'm unapproachable. Hey, I can be fun too
