Maybe it's one of those world settings where magic is either much easier to cast or have less penalties for the less things you've got on you affecting how mana enters you (can't recall the exact reason, but it was something where the fewer clothes people had on, the more effective spells where, and not in the sense of lewd, but in layers of clothing , can't recall from where either)
@talas So much this. I don't know why it doesn't bother more people. This is also with I hate most Litrpgs. They attempt to use game logic too much in a story setting.
@Robbini I think that's from isekai businessman that gets employed by the demon lord so not sure if it is valid in this manga, she probably just don't like it, some freedom is always nice
@talas@nfzeta: Probably because it's handy. It's not the same watching a fight between a knight and a dragon that between a knight Lv. 15 and a Dragon Lv. 50. You get a measure of the power levels and that would make things more interesting. To me it really becomes annoying when it gets too ridiculous (Kumoko or The New Gate) or too RPVG-like.
...Or probably because the avetage otaku has grown up with Dragon Quest, Final Fantasy and the like and are pandering to them (or they are the ones writing), idk. It also happens in western fantasy that looks suspiciously like the Forgotten Realms, Dominaria or Arda.
