Like, he is the one showing them the path to freedom as a their new species but he is also the last shackle they have to throw of to be truly free...
imo the pacing was weird as fuck.
Barbara was all "i aint never leaving" and then in one chapter - practically one page - she just gives up.
Sort of ridiculous since it's out of character. She shouldve put up more of a fight.
