@mistertrashcan No, that's grossly oversimplifying it. The base country wide minimum age of consent is 13, but every prefecture can make their own laws on it. Most prefectures range from somewhere between 16 to 20, with close in age exemption laws. I'm not 100% sure but I don't think any prefecture's age of consent is as low as the baseline.
(Also, I know you're likely joking, but legal ≠ morally okay. In fact going on how human brains develop, the ending point of age of consent laws is far too low worldwide)
