Oh how it deteriorated. I've stopped reading it in 2010, circa Hueco Mundo arc, and only recently binged the whole series due to courtesy of my local library.

It was good, then really cool, and ultimately reached the quality bottom just to pull itself to mediocrity in the last four or five volumes. Overall waste of time for modern reader.

Btw, anyone care to explain what exactly happened with the big bad during the last chapter?

I really liked the 1000 year blood war arc but the ending tho. I'm fine with Rukia marrying Renji, welp since they're both shikigami and childhood friends.
Even though it was bound to happen I can't accept Orihime marrying Ichigo. Like the only thing I remember from Orihime is her crying out to Ichigo like ghorl sthap but since Kubo wanted to end it immediately I guess there's nothing else to do but deal with it lel.

Tldr. Great final arc imo, but somewhat disappointed with the final chapter.

After having read Bleach for more than 15 years, I finally got around to finishing it for the first time. Although I love the series overall, I was very disappointed by the last few volumes. By the end, there are literally dozens of unresolved plot threads, loose ends, unsatisfactory character arc resolutions, things that aren't explained well enough, etc. Some characters' endings were worse than others, with the MC's ending being particularly disappointing. I don't think the direction the series took near the end was a worthy ending for the series, nor the extent of the creator's ability.

Despite those complaints, the series overall is still among my favorites of all time, but if you read the entire thing through to the end, don't get your hopes up for a satisfactory conclusion.

That does not surprise me in the slightest. Kubo's demonstrated a greater level of skill than is evident in the last few volumes, and it would have been nice for the series to receive a satisfactory conclusion.
