Blue Glass - Ch. 10

Aw man, I feel so bad for Miru. I know the princess is going through a lot, but she shouldn't take it all on the poor boy.
She'll feel like a real bitch when she finds out about the torture he's going through.

I'm dropping this. It's a boring unoriginal story. The princess cries too much. The slave girl never cries. And even though the princess has some strength to her whenever the writer allows her to, he is obviously setting her up to continue being a victim of circumstances and live through tragic nonsense while crying lots and lots to amuse the people who hate dark-haired girls.

@Pachka84 suit yourself, but I've read the first 5 books (volumes?) and this story is truly amazing. every character is written realistically given their position in life imo (princess, slave, etc). right now, the girl cries a lot because she's been a sheltered princess her whole life and is constantly terrorized by her older brother. what do you expect her to be like after seeing the way her own sister was treated when she rebelled against the system? this girl literally has no power in her current position; princesses are treated like marriage pawns.

fortunately, she makes a major change in her life and starts to get stronger (more in spirit than body, she's not some stereotypical ass kicker or something, which is the lazy way "strong women" are written 80% of the time). it takes time though, it's only like 11 chapters in.

i will say that this IS a tragic story, since it's inspired by the Princess of Nakrang, so if tragedy bothers you, then yeah you should drop it. all of the characters suffer a lot more than you've seen so far.
