Blue Hearts - Vol. 1 Ch. 5 - Usual daily self-destruction

Well he just is a stupid teenager. Not really anything out of the ordinary.
He's not very likeable, but the author IS good as character development if ReLIFE is a good indication of his capabilities. I think we really should see how it develop.

Mm, more of this going on ey? Based on the pacing, my guess will be 2-3 more chapters before he does something actually likable. I'm confident in the author's ability to write characters, but I'm curious on what actual likable qualities he'll have. Based on the way he acts it seems like it should be "Naive optimism that makes him accepting of people despite their issues" (which seems supported by the summary), but the previous chapter doesn't really uh... Give much credence to that.

I'm just gonna wait until this gets 10 chapters and decide if it's still worth reading it by then.

ah yes the random inspection in schools... the most terrifying experience known to man.

I think we're supposed to feel bad for him. He's lonely and doing bad things, but what he's doing feels more like acting out than actually being a bad person (as we see through his friend's view of him). It looks like the author is setting him up for an early fall, so we can start his redemption or whatever.

This is here you see the difference between him and The MC in Relife.

One is a stupid teen, the other is a adult with already some things behind him.

Technically, you can't do this in America without just cause. You can only do this to an individual student, not a random search and seizure for everyone without proper evidence or it violates the 4th amendment.

I have no idea about Japan, though.
