Boku no Kanojo Sensei - Vol. 2 Ch. 9

Something that confused me since the start, near the end of the first chapter she tells him she’ll make him fall in love with him and then dump him. Was that a mistranslation? Why would he continue to build a relationship with her since the first chapter if she straight up told him this was all just to mess with him and she intended to break up with him as soon as he falls in love?

@Guspaz

It wasn't a mistranslation. She did say that she would stop being a teacher if Saigi admitted he had feelings for her. Even now after 5 LN volumes, we still don't know why she would go that far after wanting him to fall in love with her.

@BaToolo Stop being a teacher, or end the relationship? The former does not necessarily imply the latter. The manga translation was just that they would “part”.

i think she just means stop being a teacher

@Guspaz

Yes, the manga used only 'part', I'm talking from my LN knowledge here. She will stop being a teacher, and end their current relationship.

I too enjoy when people throw around LN spoilers for manga adaptations.

@BaToolo

When someone writes "after 5 volumes we still don't know why would do it for him", it kinda DOES spoil part of the story - that we won't see info about her motives for a very long while, if ever, in the manga.

A) Stop ruining my fluff
B) A teacher and a student out in public together is not a big deal. In my state, parents can teach their own students. This is a non-issue.

@BaToolo
Do they ever get back together?

@Tamerlane

Don't have to worry about that

I'm not sure how discussing the events of chapter 1 in the comment section of chapter 9 could be considered spoilers...
