I know it's not related to the manga but could you answer my question? Does the subway in all rich countries have that barrier to prevent falls? That barrier that opens only when the train arrives.
The subway in my city (poor country) doesn't have this barrier

I've never seen a barrier like that in the several subways in America and Europe that I've seen. I think they're a Japanese thing because of extremely crowded platforms and/or suicides.

ah i love this manga. she just gets more and more thirsty. but you know, in a wholesome way. it's cute.

@Kaduufrrj no most subways don't have barriers. most japanese subways don't have barriers either but i'm guessing newer lines do and probably high density traffic lines as well. and yeah they're more to prevent suicides than anything else. they have to stop the whole line if an accident happens and that's potentially thousands of people without a ride to home or work. during the short week i stayed in japan, 2 "human accidents" happened that stopped the line i used. generally you'd feel pretty bad about someone dying but most people around felt annoyed. it seems they're common to the point of turning a tragedy into a nuisance.
