Personally, I've been losing interest. The initial pull of "The protagonist is suppressing murderous tendencies in order to feign normalcy" was an interesting idea for a protagonist, and the notion that this might cause serious problems down the line intrigued me, but since then, it's become all but nonexistent by this point and become a bog-standard romance comedy. Feels like a downgrade imo.

Nah, it not downgrade, you just expect a different thing from what the mangaka offer.
Its not become romance comedy, It is romance comedy. It doesn't change the direction, have been like this from the early chapters. Dude just a bit odd, Some nasty thought which is i say it normally, if you don't talk it out loud, I think it common for one thinking about random shit like that at some point but of course never gonna do it for real. Like the group of boy talking around about like to have which girl as sex slave in chapter 3, in the classroom and no one patch an eye

I'm not going to try and refute your entire comment since it's mostly left to a matter of opinion, but I do want to point out you missed a small nuance in my statement. When I said "It became a bogstandard slice of life romance", I wasn't complaining that it "Wasn't a SoL Romance but now it is", I was trying to convey that the protagonist's murderous instincts, which was in my opinion the only real interesting aspect of the setting, was almost completely dropped at some point. The latest like 7+ chapters it went from "An SoL romance about an awkward kid with weird murderous tendencies" to "An SoL romance about an awkward kid". That is what I'm complaining about.
That is what makes the story less interesting to me, and therefore my interest disappeared.

@OtaKael so... that just you and you preference. Try to see it this way: He getting development: He becomes less and less negative which is fact, not just my opinion.
You also miss the part where other kids who literally discus about what girl they would pick as sex slave, out loud, in the classroom. You see, his killing thought never that serious or more dangerous than other kid.
Also, I don't know where you at when you said "at this point..." but if you reread it, you will see how late of you to notices the lack of killing.

Did anyone ever think the boy was actually murderous? He's a socially awkward teen that used the fantasies to try justifying his own awkwardness and be "cool". If ya look at his actions instead he is an awkward dork, not some sociopath.
