gloomy, yes, but i don't suppose everyone gets a happy ending, that wouldn't be realistic
and besides, i don't think he's necessarily unhappy, just unfulfilled
he needs therapy for some closure and then some more for identity

Well, since he doesn't care, it's his decision. But it all comes down to his own mother she could have done something. What an ignorant parent. Also, he had a chance (in the series) but he fucked it all up.

The one saving grace of this depressing epilogue is seeing that Marika is doing well , I just hope that Tamura can one day get the help he needs.
