It's a little confusing but chapter 4.1-3 is all of chapter 4 and 4.5 is an extra chapter / intermission using the normal x.5 numbering, so there is no chapter 4.4

That makes sense now.

I bet the confusion would be lessened if 4.1 to 4.3 were combined into one chapter, then 4.5 can remain as it is indicating that it's a bonus chapter and not a continuation of ch. 4.
