Why woudn't you try it? It looked delectable. There's none of the crunchiness from chitin since it was all carved out and the meat even looked firm despite arthropod meat tending to be gooey when raw.
If he let it sit for a while, it could have started having some sort of flavor.

So, i don't get it - was leveling up and getting XP a feature of that skill board? Cause despite just recently getting it he is aware of level-up sickness and XP gain? He even compares this to his previous dungeon visit in Chikaho, and yet he's lowest level.
UPD: Okay, seems like level-up (and level-up sickness) is a general thing in this setting. And i guess rank is not exactly tied to level?

@crochetcocoking of course it's always "smart" because everything always works out good for the mc in his own story. Irl though, nah. That's the kind of info he should share when he reaches a roadblock.

I feel like this is making a reference to the Shijuku Dungeon game (phone app). Shinjuku Station is the most complex train station in Japan (and probably the world), and some might even say it's a labyrinth because it's easy to get lost in there, which lead to that game being made.
