@Drinkfist - pretty sure these people are called "self-defense force", because they are volunteers separate from aristocratic armies (like the military police). As for the rest of your complaints, I feel you are being unreasonable. Especially the part where most tropes you've called aren't present in the manga so far.
For example, time between military police starting the investigation and the guild master making his speech is "several days", which means it's done by messenger pigeon or a magical equivalent.

A couple of chapters ago you found it stupid that she went to the orphanage even though she didn't want to. That was also explained in the chapter where she thought she was a burden to the MC, and went to the orphanage even though she didn't want to. You aren't reading the story, and making comments: are you doing it on purpose to annoy people?
