I mean, it's all subjective. Maybe because I don't read each chapter as it comes out (I wait for 2-4 to build up), but I haven't minded this arc at all and there's plenty of others that aren't upset at the MC's actions/apology either.
Also, we don't know how any of this will play into how he acts later but idk

@himeleth whether or not you're upset at it is subjective, but in no way is "is self blame bad" subjective. That's why I said it's not really a moral thing. Self-blame is bad, period. It's not being humble, it's arrogant, and it's self inflicted mental abuse, it's literally the emotional equivalent of cutting yourself. Saying "He should blame himself" and "He's looking at things the right way" is pretty much complimenting someone for cutting themselves.

So yeah, it's subjective if you are annoyed with him and complain about it, but no one should be saying his behavior is 'good' in this chapter.

Edit for clarification: I am not saying everyone should hate him or anything like that. I'm just saying that no one should promote his self blame as a good thing. Whether or not you pity him, or are annoyed by him or whatever is still upto the reader.

someone spoil the curse on our ossan is placed by hero-kun and when ossan dispel the curse the curse rebound to the caster so from now on everytime hero-kun use skill his max hp will decrease
