Like, if the real enemy of Ravi are the type that would pretend to surrender then stab you in the back with no hesitation.

After all as you mentioned he attacked the idiot noble instead of using the distraction to do his thing. Also, he's been observing Douglas since back when he met Ravi, so clearly if he wanted to kidnap her he had PLENTY of chances.

It's strongly hinted the assassin boy is part of/sent by the same dark cultists that turned Ravi into a monster; and said cult wants her back for whatever evil plans they have. However, the author has yet to actually explain/cover this in the story in lieu of focusing on heartwarming Douglas and Ravi interactions; in addition the WN's been on hiatus since March so author can work on a new WN.
