@Grey20 Oh I know what he was trying to do, and I can't agree with the author at all, allowing a child to shoulder a burden that could potentially get them both killed (it nearly did) while being pretentious enough to mask ignorance as kindness. The author is sabotaging their relationship with silence, hence why I stated it was my opinion.

You know, I'm always so awed by implied perfect futures, unaffected by the past... It's like it's not completely and horribly unrealistic. Everyone has seen the light, now everything will be awesome! Doesn't matter that they need serious help recovering from brutal trauma or something. Now that would be ridiculous.

Honestly, I'm so glad this Arc is over. It can only get better.

bro Ravi doesn't want her dad to get hurt and wants to leave him to prevent him from getting hurt but when douglas tells her that he doesn't mind protecting her she stays anyway. then after that, she provides NO info about who they were to her dad. kinda just means she doesn't feel comfortable enough to share her pain from the past. tbh I'm starting to get really mad at Ravi... if I were douglas my fuse would've blown long ago and would've told her if you don't want me to get hurt then tell me who are they so that I could be a little bit more prepared next time they try to attack me, cus I'm going to die before you actually want to open up to me. I swear the time when Ravi is going to tell her dad is when they somehow get captured and she eventually tells him
