Boukensha License wo Hakudatsu Sareta Ossan Dakedo, Manamusume ga Dekita no de Nonbiri Jinsei wo Oukasuru - Vol. 4 Ch. 15.2

I think author's know how ppls mind work more than half of the ones commenting here, lol.

Yeah, having chapter 1 Dario and this Dario are 2 completely different people.

Who knows what made the author decide to make him at least two dimensional instead of one, tho he didn't help Darios case with the "Im taking all the gear'n'stuff and not paying for it" just before putting him in this arc. Made him look like the complete and utter shithole that he was in chapter 1 while then deciding to not go that route less then a chapter later.

Author-san needs to make up his mind to either make him the shithole or nice guy, not try to mix in both since all we will see then is chapter 1 Dario whom everyone hates.

@Chet31 its called a redeeming arc, or in this case a redeeming flashback arc. "Ppl hate the char, so I just write a sad backstory and all his evils will be redeemed. It is called character development", is essentially how I imagine every authors thought-process going when they write one.
So no, they are the same char, and we are supposed to forgive and forget and love him now. Although it's not that far off from happening, considering how hard it is to remember the story and characters with all those various fantasy and isekai stories that all look the same. I am not gonna bother to remember he is a shitty guy for that long, not when the chapters are monthly, and weirdly split.

@feha Yeah I understand, but the fact that he still was that complete douchebag two seconds before arriving on screen and then starting this redemption arc just feels off.

@Qelix well, for what it's worth, ch. 1 dario just mostly repeating what the douche sage saying back then
you can stretch it juuust a lil bit and take it as if dario is just being intentionally loud to disperse the sage's thinly veiled insult, but eh, doesn't really make him any less obnoxious back then

i'll just take it as if he already got some of his character development off-screen, since he got some time after he got kicked out from the party and all

Dario was an ass in chapter 1 but he didn't really do much that deserves revenge or hatred. Besides, he was a perfectly decent character the moment he comes back. A bit loudmouthed, but that's about it.

Good thinking with the last words of Sun and the broken spear in hand. Great imagery. If only more manga would go down the visual route of things instead of adapting the source with seemingly endless text bubbles.

Before chapter 14 i give this a solid 9 !! but after this chapter it goes to 1 and i am dropping the series !!! SO DISAPPOINTING 🤬 🤬🤬🤬🤬🤬🤬🤬

Honestly, Dario seems like a really well written character.

From imidiate reactions and word of mouth you get the idea that he is some douche loudmouth that acts brashly and just wants to kill things.

But when you actually learn about him there is there is more to the story. His brashness and wanting to kill demons probably comes from wanting revenge along with a "I want to be free" personality. His loudmouth is probably a coping mechanism to avoid getting the sense of defeat. The whole, "we need more damage" and to some extent the whole healer isnt doing enough, is probably his way of trying to save the party: Effectively thinking if you kill the enemy first you wont need healing (might even be trying to protect the healer inderectly).

Still it doesnt excuse his bad personality and money skills. But it's quite interesting to learn this character isnt a jerk just because.

Oh no, an exposition, that means we will feel bad if he dies (and with how forced the exposition is, I'm sure he will)

@sambucety do you have a problem ?? If you don't like my opinion you can simply ignore it ???????????????????????????? BUT NOOOOO YOU ARE JUST A PIECE OF BULLSHIT JUST TO SAY SOMETHING !! GO BUCK TO YOUR CAVE YOU MORON

@Mimcoa Oooooh the irony is palpable on this one. And if you think this chapter single-handedly made this manga from good to absolute dogshit then oooh boy then I'm guessing you never even like the manga in the first place, cuz this chapter did just the opposite.
