Boukensha ni Naritai to Miyako ni Deteitta Musume ga S Rank ni Natteta - Vol. 1 Ch. 4

@Ainz He always comes up with an excuse that his opponent was holding back or had a bad day or had the sun in their eyes. He'll never accept that he's really that good.

It makes sense he has such a low opinion of himself because he has only one leg and lost it early in his career. His thinking is that a man with one leg could never be greater than someone with two. It's not like there's a paralympics in this world.

@Aoitenshi
More like he raised his daughter to become an S-ranked adventurer in his stead.
Must be why Sasha was talking about "raising the next generation".

@boag
Literally 23 days passed since the last one, and the first two were two months ago.
You are literally wrong.

@Meridis where'd ya got this spoiler? I haven't seen this in LN... (or at least the translated one)

@Cyzeed don't worry nothing skipped. Even in LN only explained the sudden visit of the elder sister

so, you mean to say, he was already this powerful when he started and then found a kid and got his foot cut and decided he'll become Villager A cause figures he can't become as strong when he has two feet? and as he stated when he was training he's grown dull? hahahahah unknowingly OP guys hahah I like this even more :D hahah always up for these kind of stuff where mc thinks he's weak but actually is OP but anyhow the mc thinks it he logically is not so op? or at least situations makes them think otherwise :D

@Meridis:
Actually, Belgriff is probably A rank to low AA rank at best. I read the novel raws upto the part where he meets the elf princess.

Sasha is actually better than him, he only beats her due to her inexperience and unfamiliarity to his weird movements caused by his peg leg. Angie sympathizes with Sasha over this. During their 4th(?) spar, Sasha is actually dominating and was close to beating him but got too eager to go for the kill that Belgriff managed to take advantage of the opening. Belgriff knows the next time they spar, Sasha will win and the illusion of his invincibility will thankfully be over.

As for Angie, he actually beats Angie easily because he knows all of her bad habits. Angie was also complacent, thinking she didn't need to get rid of those bad habits as long as only Belgriff knew them even after Belgriff insisted she try to get rid of them. Belgriff was so worried about her not caring about it even after he kept telling her not to be complacent that he actually forced Angie to improve by challenging her to a fight and saying he would disown her if she lost. Angie goes into angst mode and can't fight properly because she can't believe Belgriff would say such a thing. After she gets over it, she beats Belgriff easily then demanded a hug.

@Ainz I don't think he's truly S rank, with Chp 5 now translated, I think the problem is too many adventurers are lower in quality compared to when he started.

Talent is surely suppressed by the Guild. And what was that girl thinking going up against an old man who has a stick for a leg?
