Black Mirror has used the brain backup idea for at least 5 different episodes, but they never addressed how society would react to such technology or if there was ever any opposition to it, each time it appears, being it in the form of the Cookies, AI, games, or San Junipero, society and the characters portrayed have already shown to have embraced such technology even when some of them hold different views to what it implies to be digitized, but still it avoids touching any controversy.
In this however we jump directly to questioning the uses of such technology, i hope the author delivers because if they do we could be seeing a great finale to this anthology.
