So it just occured to me, he asked for Leah's hand after he a) realized he really liked her b) Leah gave an answer that she would even marry someone she didn't like.
Because he thinks she doesn't like him. He's shy and even though he has plenty of confidence, when it comes to women, I imagine he has little self-confidence because of his appearance and all the bad rumours surrounding him.
As for his timing... I guess he figured the situation was urgent for Leah, he likes her, she would be okay with him (she doesn't seem scared of him) and so why wait more?

That's my theory. Also, why did that surprised face same familiar? Maybe because he was that surprised when he found Leah at the lake.
Right she's already seen him, I guess Roxant would be like "she can make an informed decision" xDD

They're both so cute. I hope they'll have a little time to talk things over. Brilliand is keeping everyone busy in the kitchen, allowing them to have some time alone. Though I do have to wonder if he knows Roxant has proposed to Leah.

i really love this manhwa since it’s quite refreshing to see different setting of historical manhwa. the way the author puts so much care to develop the universe, gives suitable name for the character (that actually matches the era) is a +++. it’s quite sad it isn’t as popular as the other historical manhwas. either way, i really look forward for the next chapter.

@Ladyrosee @hitsuchan I sometimes cover half his face too, just so I can see his expression more clearly — sometimes he doesn't look so stern or frowning when you can see only the good side. And because of that, I've started noticing when the artist shows him in profile. I'll have to go back and re-read the chapters to be sure, but it seems that at the beginning we hardly ever saw him in profile, and when we did we saw the scarred side of his face, but now that Leah is beginning to warm up to him and we're getting hints that he likes her, we see the healthy side of his face more often. Twice now in these last few chapters we've seen him in profile with only the healthy side visible — and it's been during romantically charged moments or when Leah is viewing him with empathy.

Possibly it's just a coincidence, but I'm going to be really excited if the author is using the art to cue when Leah is empathizing with him or feeling attracted to him. :3
