@Squigle hmmm possibly brill is crossdressing? but didn't they say their mother used to love dressing up girls? there would've been no need for roxant to crossdress (which im assuming was forced by the mother..?) if brill was actually a girl. the author has had bisexual relationships in this before so its not out of the realm if max/brill was m/m! i am also very interested in why brill ended up taking the head position though, i have no ideas why atm

I just reread chapter 1. And Roxy is really beautiful dressed as a girl .

His mother passed away when he met Leah. So he probably wore those clothes on purpose as to remember his mother or was wearing them already before she passed away then cried by the lake when she did.

I think he pretended to be Isolda, wearing dress and etc so he could run away somewhere and cry when things got too tough for him. Since, as an eldest son he wasn't supposed to be a crybaby. Can't wait to see when real Isolda comes to their wedding and Leah throws herself at her XD
