@Chimochy Suicide seems to be much more common in Eastern Cultures due to the fact that reputation is so important. Now I may be talking out of my ass right now but I believe that suicide is seen as atonement for your sins. Since reputation and being in the "in-group' is so important once you are out it's really hard to get back in. So suicide is seen as the only way to regain your reputation (not necessarily true, but some people see it as their only option) and it isn't seen as negatively in eastern countries it seems.

@HereForUnordinary yes.. sadly it is true.... since i am an asian, there is a story from my granny. So, most of older gen of asian families prioritize their reputation n family(well modern fam isnt that strict like b4)... if u Fail in the eye of society, your big family, (grandparents,uncles,aunties) will know that your parent fail to raise you. (Thts why Asian parents are ‘tiger parent’) and may lead to suicidal thoughts ( either u or ur parents tht are ashamed/embarrassed to face society etc etc).

the teachers being bullied sadly happens everywhere. There should be cameras in all classrooms, otherwise students can always pull out their mobiles when the victim retaliates. The story was believable and all, but the journalist punishments was also meh, imo

@TrueGoddessReincarnation Don't see how. Various female "video game journalists" drove a man to suicide over false claims a couple of years back. Think it was false rape accusation or sexual abuse. Plenty of people have been push to suicide because of "journalists." Only unrealistic thing is him turning on his daughter but if he was divorced I can see why he wouldn't care much for her.

@Chimochy Apparently it's a thing in Japan, if a family member is a criminal, the whole neighbourhood and acquaintances of the family will do lots of nasty things to chase the family away so in most cases, they have to move elsewhere or even change their last name.
