Burning Effect - Ch. 134

Hyper is one of the sword saints right?
If so I wonder if this justice of his is a way to cope with his past

Special spears designed to pierce Hyper's well-trained body by even a civilian. And of course, Great will watch.

Oh well, hype gets his due for being a moron. I just want this pointless flashb to end so we get back to the real story. If I had to suffer a flashb in the falshb to see gerbain's backstory.....

So Gerbain's speech of there will always be a victim and assailant seems to be what connects the dots in great's red eyed state to what a proper administrator would do. In his mind he will think if hyper had killed Gerbain right away no more victims would have been made and he will take it to the extreme and kill anyone who does even the smallest of crimes.

@legion_01 how is being a decent man moronic in your eyes ? Especially if you're this far in the series, you should understand the main premise of the good guys and that is Killing isn't the way to deal with criminals and we see why its failed so miserably in Block 5, as we see Block 5 turned into a shithole after Hyper dying

@fred23 killing is not the answer, agreed, but do you know how many psychos when asked why they did what they did just answered? "Why not?" or "because i can?" Your reasoning is ok in a normal society, but in a post apo world, when you meet someone who didn't steal out of hunger or need, but killed for pleasure, you don't go playing redeemer. You put them down like the rabid dogs they are, or all of their next victims are on you. So, imo hyper is a moron twofold. Once because is a post apo world, and twice because there are superpowers. Letting a superpsycho live is utter madness.

@legion_01 honestly there's potential for those individuals to attempt rehabilitation and psychiatric therapy provided they stay isolated from society. Answers like "Why not?" or "because i can?" aren't the full explanation on how that person got psycho in the first place. The better people get at helping psychos recover the better people get at recognizing other potential psychos. Ideally people could put that knowledge to preventing others from becoming psychos in the future too.

@garnzlok, actually her speech was more about her beliefs and cause and effect, she sees herself or justifies her existence at the cause or "crime" for example. For every cause there is an effect e.g. "punishment." When hyper didn't punish her for her crimes therefore she felt belittled because it invalidated her perceived existence and and calling her beliefs into question. She's trying to prove herself right after being shown that she is wrong.

Really after such a speech it is pretty clear that she wont remove the bombs.

But i guess at this point they are desperate enough to take up her offer, and i don't see Hyper resisting.
