Captain Tsubasa - Rising Sun

Mangaka should do the plot about something important no olympics :S
In football no one cares about Olympics, we want the FIFA World Cup, Copa America, UEFA European Championship, La Libertadores, UEFA Champions League, FIFA Confederations Cup and FIFA Club World Cup.

@RandomDoge I didn't say in football we don't want to win everthing, that applies to any sport.

I said Olympics is the least important tournament in football.

Which one you prefer to win?

Olympics or FIFA World cup?
Olympics or Copa America?
Olympics or UEFA European Championship?
Olympics or La Libertadores?
Olympics or UEFA Champions League?
Olympics or FIFA Confederations Cup?
Olympics or FIFA Club World Cup.?

Dude nobody really cares about Olympics.

@xell17 Due to the fact that last Olympics Games and last FIFA World Cup were in the same country, it will be easier to compare both.

During the Olympic Games, Rio de Janeiro received 1.2 millions visitors. According to Rio’s city hall, 410 thousands of those were not from Brazil
During FIFA world cup Rio received 886 thousands tourists, 471 thousands of those were foreign tourists.

Of course FIFA world cup have more than one host city, so there were much more tourists than this. Also, Rio received less tourists from Brazil because there were lots of other cities hosting FIFA World Cup.

Other cities that hosted FIFA world Cup received less tourists than Rio:

São Paulo 510,000
Belo Horizonte 355,000
Brasilia 490,000
Porto Alegre 350,000
Recife 400,000
Manaus 260,000
Cuiaba 120,000
Natal 180,000
Salvador 700,000

So, in number of tourists, World Cup can be considered bigger.

If you talk about audience, both events are watched for about half of the Earth. Fifa World Cup reached 3.2 billions viewers, while Olympic Games 3.5 billions.

@kurosa That is a good argument, but you have to consider that All these tournaments have no restrictions about age, while in Olympics it's sub 23 with exceptions for 3 player max. Taking that together with the fact it is not the only sport in the spotlight at the moment may it look less important.
Nonetheless it is still a tournament the participants and their supporters wanna win, even more because it's in it that you can see the strength of each country's new gen that may have a go in the world cups to come, and also see how well the young stars of your country can do in an world cup-like environment. Taking these last Olympics as an example: Brazil's NT was under extreme pressure cause it had never won the Olympics and not just the NT, but the country's soccer as a whole was at an all time low after the disaster that happened against Germany in 2014 and the bad performance in the qualifiers until then. It came up to the point that when the team performed bad on the first matches, people began to throw the jerseys in the trash or scratching the names off it and putting the women's NT names on it. Winning the Olympics made Brazil gain momentum that followed to the main NT and made the team steamroll through the qualifiers.

So the Olympics are important, yes, cus it is in essence a new gen's world cup.

Coming directly from the anime to this, Tsubasa got hella swole.

Finally the manga resumed in Japan, inside the new dedicated magazine.
There is some team that plans to continue the tl?
