Swiffer is a brand of sweepers. Presumably the idea of using your tail as a sweeper is shocking, and potentially that they had been playing with her dirty tail?

I have to admit, my last cat would have been perfect for cleaning the floors. You could just nudge it around the house with your feet, totally would have remained laying down and picked up all the dust and debris in its fur. Probably would have been happy to get the attention, even if used as a dust rag.
