I'm more upset by the fact he was given a ring but no name. He could have swapped it for some female companionship and now your grandfather is Lovely Lucy. I always feel these plot devices are stupid and lazy. "I had sex with your grandfather and he gave me this ring. But he wouldn't tell me his name."
