Do you even know what unwanted advances are? Especially if you are straight, and someone gay is coming onto you?
That's not homophobia, do you even words?

What in the actual FOOK!!! NOT this YAOI again!!! And who the hell is that woman in the last chapter?

@tuatara1

Our MC doesn't have any problem with the elf being gay. He has a problem with the advances of the elf, because he himself isn't interested.
At this point It's not about being gay or being straight, just about bothering people and not getting the message.

I'm pretty sure he would act the same way, if a female elf used the same enthusiastic approach that the archer did.

Lol guys, he might have actually been seduced by the elf at the start, but the personality ruined it. This is essentially a Darkness from Konosuba situation.

@Cyrus @GerryCerryBery At no point was I talking about the characters themselves. They're irrelevant. I was talking about the entire premise of the chapter. The whole "joke" is fundamentally homophobic, even going so far as to suggest bestiality would be preferable. This sort of thing is incredibly common. Being gay, especially a gay man, is almost always played for a punchline in mainstream manga and anime. (And most yaoi and yuri are fundamentally exploitative. They exist primarily to titillate straight people.)

For @Cyrus specifically, yeah, I know what the hell words mean. Try showing some basic respect for other people, friend.

If he's tired couldn't he just drink his own viagra male vitality energy potion instead? It turned an old man into hulk I'm sure it'll turn his scrawny ass into Thor or something

@tuatara1
Dude you must not watch or read many anime and manga if you think they always use it as a punchline. in japan the word homophobia doesn't exist. They're not a bunch of babies who change their content based on the feeling of others, and they aren't scared of gay people. Mainstream shouldn't be used to describe any anime or manga. They are either popular or not.
