@GodGinrai the problem is I don't know when the next part is finished, since TL1a is a freelancer and he's almost never around. If I hold off releases, people will get mad, so I have no choice but to make releases when one part is done.
@ronbwl Yeah, I’m aware of that problem but didn’t think about it at the time. I think some groups release the chapter in parts then combine them after all the parts are out. Others just wait for all the parts to come out and then release a full chapter. Seems like a bit of a pain in the ass.
@RonBWL People will get mad if you release in unsatisfying parts as well. There's no pleasing everyone. But think about it this way:
Do you like it when you are in the middle of a story and it just cuts off? I think the complaints you would receive for "slow releases" would be less toxic than those you'd get for releasing in parts, since everyone would come away from a bad cliffhanger and have nowhere else to direct their frustration but at you. As long as you are releasing when the chapter is finally completed, most people should understand the delay.
@GodGinrai There's more than that to meet the eyes, one of which nearly hit us very recently on another series (Maou-sama Retry), but that's how the scene work here. If you're interested, I'm fine with further discussion on DM - for now there is a particular reason that I have to go this way.
@PTRB There's just no foolproof solution, I'll keep on looking and see what's the best way to go about this.
Please don’t wait until all parts release, whenever the author releases just release your translation, no need to wait, we all understand it’s not from your side :)
@tigerstar186 I'm a bit desensitized to it I guess. Back before I got particularly interested in reading scanlations, I was reading a lot of webcomics. Sometimes you get like, a page a week or even per month with some of those. Unless it's a gag sort of deal, every goddamn page might as well be a cliffhanger. Fast forward to here and now, with manga getting published in these partial chapter releases like this, and I guess I'm just like "Well, at least it was more than one page."
@RonBWL
First of all, thx for the release.
Second, may i suggest to, at least, number this chapter as 17.1 if you decide to split it like the raw?
Some of us dont mind split chapter like this and just wait till all part released before reading whole chapter. The problem with this chapter is the number 17, implying that this ia full chapter. But if you number it as 17.1, we know what we get.
Sry if my english is confusing. Im bad with grammar.
