Reassuring that the author can write a plot without Luxia relying on hacks, the whiteboard was exactly the sort of thing I want to see.

One gripe I still have is that the jargon thrown around still never gets explained. I still don't know what a "quick-transmigration" story and/or character is. Was the original novel about someone jumping into the story, like the princess? Or does the fact that someone jumped into the story turn it into a "quick-transmigration" story?

Male leads in dramas can be written to be pretty useless, so this is par for the course.

The OP in this thread has a pretty good explaination:
"Quick transmigration is basically a sort of genre where the protagonist transmigrates into the bodies of people (or often 'characters') and takes over their life for a while. Sometimes there are missions that they must complete in the world, other times they're just living life. Once the MC is done with their life (either they die or they completed their mission and decided to leave), they will then move into another body in another world. One book has multiple arcs, each set in a different world and body, lasting anywhere from 10 to 30 chapters depending on the book."

@The_DCG Aight, so this "small world" is a story that is about someone jumping into Fumiao's role from outside the "small world", because that's the genre of the novel? Luxia's assignment is to beat Fumiao at her own game of jumping into "small worlds", but where Fumiao's jump-in is scripted, Luxia's isn't. But is Fumiao on the same level of existence as Luxia? Fumiao seems to have a system of her own, but is that within the script of the novel, whereas Luxia's arrival and system is outside the script of the novel?

Goddamn the recursiveness is making this hard to articulate.

During that one chapter in the mainline story where Luxia squared off against a transmigrator, I sort of interpreted that as a two player game: both Luxia and her opponent were from outside the script, they were like two opposing players in a game, both coming from the same out-of-novel world. But now with this side story, with a novel that is about intrusion from out-of-novel beings, is Luxia and Fumiao both players, or is Fumiao an NPC that has player abilities?

@Okuu - Rather, like the abusive-husband ark, both SLX and the chick possessing the princess are both players - interlopers in this "small world." The difference is, the chick in that story was a one-and-done transmigrator without a system - basically just an isekai (or otomekai, if you prefer) - versus a "fully-armed-and-operational" battle-station SLX. This one, the other transmigrator is the one with a system who has been doing quick jumps for a long time, the battle-station, and SLX is a newbie the factory smell hasn't worn off yet. (And they are both quick-transmigration-system wielders - SLX with the "Second Female Lead Counterattack System" and Princess Bitch with a straightforward "Gain His Love System" like this one but with world hopping.) We, the readers, know SLX is Luke to the princess's body snatcher's Death Star, but both of them are confident otherwise, of course. ¯\_(ツ)_/¯

@The_DCG That clears up a bunch. Knowing that it's PvP and not some meta sort of PvE does away with a whole load of questions.

@Okuu I'd say in a sense it's still a form of pve since the princess being possessed by an outsider and taking Lu Xia's FL role was already part of the plot of this mini-arc (I assume the outsider's overall plot involves other worlds she's already been to, and will go to), that's why they could know how much time it took the princess to seduce the ML and when/how she initiated the attack.

Basically, she knows she's in a "small world" now and her system is outside of its rules, but she is unaware she's a character in a novel herself and this is just another arc. While Lu Xia does know this, making her belong to a higher plane.
