@Cynic My thinking was more along the lines of: there's no way she could remember a book literally word for word, so she must be good enough at writing to fill in the blanks. If she's already stealing stories from people, why not just steal an ending from a different story? Writer's block is a real pain, true, but she doesn't even try to look at other stories for """""inspiration""""", she just jumps straight to "hang from the ceiling by my hair" and "eat. eat for writing energy."

I think it would've been better if she'd have written an ending cribbed from other stories, and the publishers are like "this is obviously taken from this other story???? Do it again", and then we get her absolutely failing to think of anything by herself. It's just weird to me that such a serial plagiarist's immediate reaction to the problem wouldn't be more plagiary

But yeah, I wouldn't expect her to come up with anything original either, all she knows how to do is regurgitate things she's already read

the best option of the antagonist would have been, to just write the original ending. And credit it to the fanmade ending. Just saying that she was so impressed that she couldn't come up with a better ending. It's not like that would have ended good. But you have to get the best out of a bad situation.

She's probably the least threatening antagonist yet . But from the comments I've seen, I think the author has a grudge against plagiarisers and hence, this arc is probably written for the author themselves. I won't complain, though, as long as it's good.
